    Pottery Workshop
    Guided 3-hour session on the hand-building techniques of pinching and coiling.
    Materials
    All stoneware clay, sculpting tools, and aprons.
    Snacks & Merienda
    Welcome drinks & snacks. Curated bites of homegrown recipes, warmly prepared.
    Firing & Glazing
    We will dry, bisque-fire, glaze, and glaze-fire up to 2 of your favorite pieces.
    The Result
    Your finished ceramic pieces, shipped to you in 12 weeks.

    1:00 PM — Arrival & Grounding
    Settle into the Siama rhythm with welcome drinks and our favorite Sorsogon snacks. A brief introduction to the medium of clay.
    1:30 PM — The Making
    Hands-on guidance on pinching and coiling techniques. We focus on understanding the material of clay as you mold your vision.

    4:00 PM — Merienda
    An intentional selection of Siama favorites for an afternoon snack. A time for community and reflection.
    4:30 PM — Finishing Touch
    Find a renewed perspective as you return to your pieces for final touches before cleaning up.
    5:00 PM — Golden Hour
    Sunset at the garden. A slow end to the afternoon.

Mikee Naval | Founder, Dayaw Ceramics

With a background in Architecture, Mikee approaches clay by telling stories through shapes. Based in Sorsogon, her work explores the balance between organic imperfection and intentional form. She believes that everyone has a narrative waiting to be molded.

    1. Do I need experience?
    None at all. This workshop is open to beginners and soul-searchers alike.

    2. What happens to my piece?
    Clay takes time. After the workshop, your piece will air-dry before undergoing two separate firings in our kiln. Your pieces will be shipped to you after 12 weeks at no extra cost.

    3. What should I wear?
    Trimmed nails (preferably), no jewelry, and something comfortable that you don't mind getting a little dirty in.
